Apple plans to expand its renewable energy investments in India through a partnership with CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Limited (CleanMax). As part of the initiative, Apple plans to make an initial investment of Rs 1 billion. The investment will support the development of more than 150 MW of new renewable energy capacity in the country.
Furthermore, the partnership is aimed at supporting Apple’s efforts to increase the use of renewable energy across its supply chain in India. The new renewable energy capacity will contribute to the company’s ongoing clean energy initiatives in the country.
Earlier this month, CleanMax partnered with Iron Mountains to procure hybrid renewable energy for its data centres in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.
