Northland Power has signed a 30-year corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for additional power from the Hai Long offshore wind project in Taiwan. The 1,022 MW project is being developed by Northland (30.6 per cent), Mitsui & Co. (40 per cent), and Gentari International Renewables Pte. Ltd (29.4 per cent).
The project comprises the 294 MW Hai Long 2A, 224 MW Hai Long 2B, and 504 MW Hai Long 3 wind farms.
Furthermore, the agreement builds on the partnership established between Northland and TSMC in 2022 for Hai Long 2B and Hai Long 3 wind farms. Hai Long 2A will transition to the new CPPA structure following the regulatory procedures which are expected in 2026, with TSMC offtaking 100 per cent of the project’s generating capacity.
In November 2025, Northland Power acquired 100 per cent stakes in two battery energy storage projects in Poland totaling 300 MW/1.2 GWh. The projects, Mieczysławów (200 MW/800 MWh) and Kamionka (100 MW/400 MWh), were acquired from Greenvolt Power. Both the projects include four-hour duration storage with a total estimated investment of €200 million. The projects’ financing and construction are expected to commence in 2026.
